Mark Lawson - Director

Mark was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1976. He is qualified with a BComm Honours (Finance) as well as a business school qualification in Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management. Mark also holds professional qualifications in Financial Risk Management (FRM) through the Global Association of Risk Professionals in the United States and is also a Chartered Market Technician (CMT) specialising in technical analysis of the financial markets. He started his career on the open-outcry trading floor of LIFFE in London and has since traded equities, foreign exchange and derivatives for various financial institutions in London and South Africa. Mark is currently a director of companies including the Exchange4free Group, as well as Addax Capital in London which is an FSA regulated entity providing trading, portfolio management and broking services to a client base of ultra high net worth private individuals and institutional clients.

Peter Filmer - Director

Peter originates from the Eastern Cape where he matriculated and completed his B.Comm accounts qualification at Rhodes University. Peter has worked for Deloitte & Touche Audit and Corporate Finance teams in Johannesburg before deciding to specialize in financial markets. Peter has completed his SAIFM exams and obtained his series 7 license which is a US trading qualification. Peter has traded equities on the NYSE, futures and options for a London based market maker and also worked for other financial institutions in London. Peter then decided to combine his business and trading experiences to set up and start Exchange4free.
